Returning to blogging
Moving to the city that I was born in. I’ve been visiting my whole life … but in my early days of becoming a resident, I can already tell that I am going to be falling very deeply in love with Providence in an entirely new way.
Not loving… my life in boxes
the way that the last living situation ended and it’s remnants still clinging on to my free time and eating away at my emotional-anxiety balances
neglecting this blog and all my other dearly-loved projects while I sort it all out
and how expensive moving is.
Loving… my absurdly dreamy apartment in a beautiful victorian building
the enormous fenced-in yard which allows my dog to run! (running makes Max happy and sleepy, and that makes EVERYONE else much happier in my household)
having studio space even though I haven’t gotten a chance to use it for anything yet.
Reading “Chronic City” by Jonathan Lethem and “Manhood for Amateurs” by Michael Chabon
Last read “The Strain” by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan - highest praises for this one, it was off the chain. I can’t believe it is a trilogy and I’m going to have to wait for the other installments and the inevitable film adaptations now.
Not that this is a secret, but I’m really looking forward to seeing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
I was disappointed by Public Enemies, who knew a pretty period movie starring Johnny Depp could be so dull?
And I’m hoping to get to catch up on Mad Men now that Season 2 is on dvd.
I’m also hoping to write more of a list soon… you know, when I have more of a life to blog about.
