September 25
Wishing that I could spend more time at home, more time writing, more time outside because Autumn is my favorite time to do anything.
Loving being unpacked and just getting to do the fun organizing + decorating part of settling in.
Months ahead of longer nights, crisp days.Sweaters. Cooking dinner with friends.Being cozy with good books, tea + favorite blankets. And holidays.I love holidays.

I’m also more than a little obsessed with following the politics + “progress” of the health care reform debates happening in congress.Without a public option, I don’t believe that the corporate for-profit healthcare system will ever have reason to change or be regulated enough to provide adequate affordable care to everyone.
And in other news regarding things I care deeply about, tomorrow marks the beginning of Banned Books Week.It is my yearly reminder to read challenged books, encourage others to read challenged (and challenging) books and discuss them widely. And do it year round. When other people fight books (and writers), this is the way to fight back – by actively encouraging and engaging in the discourse they want to prohibit.
