A teenager who thought movement in her underwear was caused by her vibrating mobile phone found a bat curled up asleep in her bra.
Abbie Hawkins, 19, of Norwich, had been wearing the bra for five hours when she plucked up the courage to investigate.
When she did, she found a baby bat in padding in her 34FF bra. The hotel receptionist said she was shocked but felt bad for removing the “cuddly” bat. “It looked cosy and comfortable and I was sorry for disturbing it,” she said.

There is something incredibly endearing about a girl who doesn’t scream and fling the little creature across the room, but instead talks about how cute it is and how she hated having to wake it up.

bats.
LOVE them.
i wish i could have a pet fruit bat. they are lovely and cute, and they are kind of a strange collections of nature’s genetic experiments in adaptation.
they are as about as unusual as platypuses (platypi?) in all the little extras that got thrown in for their survival.
“bad eyesight? hmmm. well, here we go, how about a sonar system! uh oh, they eat bugs, but they are mammals… got it! how about wings and the ability to hang upside down!”
i love bats.

i wouldn’t mind finding a baby bat asleep in my bra. it sounds rather charming, actually.
