Crushworthy: Rachel Maddow
Rachel Maddow was featured in the NY Times magazine this past weekend, in a short listy Q & A (my favorite kind). She is dorky, funny, and what they refer to in this corner of the US as “wicked smart” (pr. “wicket smaht”). She also has a fantastic laugh, smiley eyes and there this ONE specific, “incredulous” face she makes on the show, usually when someone has said something really, really stupid. I find all of this business terribly, terribly sexy.
From the NY Times Q & A, we also learn that she:
1. Drives a truck
2. Reads comic books
3. Is a hobbyist bartender who researches and mixes old-time American classic cocktails.
4. Has lots and lots of books and a really cute dog:

She references Godwin’s Law. (Geek!) And seriously, have you ever seen anyone look this adorable saying the words “Commie!” “Pinko!” or “5-year Planner!” I think not.

I completely agree with you on this one! She is so brainy and refreshing. I have also learned that her ratings are giving MSNBC execs the goosebumps they love to see. She has double the ratings of her predecesor Dan abrams, maintains 90% of her lead in audience from Olbermann, and has news network high numbers for her timeslot in the coveted 18-45 demographics. In others words, she is kicking ass and taking names, while being beautiful, eloquent, sharp, and humorous. One word from me: Enamored!
