There is currently a Free Shipping Sale for Cyber Monday in the Anchor Tag Etsy Shop going on, but I got bored promoting that, so I’m declaring it “Mixtape Monday” and giving away a set of the best-selling Etsy item, my Mixtape Postcards. This is much more fun.
It’s completely free to enter, the contest runs from now until midnight next Monday. All you need to do is leave me a lovely Winter “Mixtape” in the comments section. (Either a list or a link to one.) Or if you are short on time, there are a number of additional ways to win including: following me on twitter, facebook, tumblr and reblogging the contest page.
Good luck!

These are the Holiday cards I drew, collaged and got printed this year:

Tonight, I’m going to put on a Christmas movie and sit down and actually write mine out to get in the mail tomorrow.
(Late start as usual. So what else is new?)
If you want to buy some, they are also up in the Etsy shop. You can order single cards or a set of six.

This past weekend, I headed out to one of my favorite little beaches with three of my favorite ladies and we took lots of pictures (really quickly because, man it was cold and windy!) for Anchor Tag! There are some great new cozy knits up for sale in the shop now and believe me when I say they’ve been tested for warmth and durability. Ask me about custom options if you see a scarf, cowl or hat you want, but want different colors.

This was the first part of the process, sketching and outlining.
And then with paint:

It’s the first part in a series about cities called “steel heart”. Probably a lot of New York, Chicago and Providence since those are cities I’ve lived in. Which is funny because I’m blissfully living in woods, near the ocean now and all I want to draw and paint is the cities. Funny how that works.

And when I say supersoft, I mean really, really, effin’ soft people! It’s extraordinary, warm and still lightweight and flexible. I’m totally keeping it for myself if someone doesn’t buy it soon.
