Music Trivia Meme
I am feeling a bit overwhelmed from reading (eating-sleeping-breathing) politics. So here’s a game. I’m stealing this particular variation from Kerri, although many many blogs I read have featured similar games recently.
Here’s the one rule – I give you a line or two, you give me the next line which contains the title of the song.
Hint: Somewhere on this blog, there is a list that contains ALL of these song titles/artists… of course that doesn’t necessarily help you remember the lyrics. Comment with answers, I will cross them off as they are guessed.

a lot of them seem familiar but the only one i know for sure is 12 – all along the watchtower (i could go on but won’t. that seems sufficient.)

What’s funny is that I know the real song . . . but I think the reason why I know that line so well is because it’s quoted in a Brand New song that I love, and that’s how I heard it in my head when I was reading
I’ll have to skim through the others again to see if any more jump out at me, but that was all I knew offhand.

annd I know that #1 is David Bowie’s “Life on Mars” but I’m not 100% sure of the line . . . is it just “is there life on Mars?”

I wanted to help because you were so great with my song meme (and thank you, I now have a brand spankin new flask), but I’ve got nuthin. I don’t know these lyrics. I’m bad with isolated lyrics. The lack of context throws me off.

8. i’m falling over and over and over and over again now.
tim and i have been in a mood that we call “ambient luxe” and in preparation for our road trip, i downloaded a lot of relaxing music. i forgot ALL about morcheeba until it came up on my ratatat mix on pandora the other day at the office. and i came home and downloaded about 10 songs that i didn’t realized i loved.
have you ever heard MGMT?
